Troon has been appointed to manage Al Houara Golf Club in Tangier City, Morocco. The Graham Marsh- and Vijay Singh-designed championship golf course will benefit from Troon International's management across agronomy, marketing and operations.

Troon International has considerable experience in Morocco, having worked previously with multiple facilities, including assisting with the development of Al Houara. Al Houara Golf Club will fall under the brand of Troon Golf, which represents a portfolio of daily-fee, resort and semi-private properties that deliver superior guest services, the finest playing surfaces, and outstanding amenities.

Sheik Hamad Bin Talal Al Thani, chief development and project delivery officer for development of the project, called the partnership “an exciting chapter as we continue on our journey as a world class golf resort. With Troon’s expertise and our breathtaking setting, we are poised to elevate the club to new heights, offering an unparalleled experience for our valued guests. We symbolize a commitment to excellence across our hotel and golf course, setting the stage for a future filled with unforgettable moments.”

The 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Marsh in collaboration with Singh includes strategically placed bunkers and water hazards providing golfers a tough test. The golf club also boasts a nine-hole short course, a driving range with short game areas and two indoor swing rooms. All practice facilities and the short-course are floodlit.

“Drawing on our rich experience in Morocco and resorts, this partnership will enable us to help propel Al Houara to its full potential, driving the resort on to new heights and growing its already esteemed reputation.” Troon International EVP DJ Flanders said. “It’s a collaborative effort that promises growth, excellence, and an elevated experience for all who choose to indulge in the luxurious offerings of Al Houara.”
