Yamaha has added Adam Pohll and Mark Strickland to its direct sales team responsible for golf and utility sales within California. Pohll has been hired as the district sales manager for central California and temporarily for northern California, while Strickland will serve as southern California’s district sales manager.
Pohll has been in the golf industry for more than 20 years, and has been a Class A PGA member since 2001. His most recent position was as regional manager for CourseCo, a golf management company based in Petaluma, California. While there, Pohll oversaw 14 golf facilities across multiple states. Pohll brings Yamaha decades of industry knowledge and will be responsible for building and maintaining valuable relationships throughout central California.
Strickland has been with Yamaha since 2018. He was previously employed within the company as the regional manager for Yamaha Golf Car in Kennesaw, Georgia, where he oversaw the Dealer Sales Channel for the United States.
Before working at Yamaha, Strickland owned and operated a Play It Again Sports franchise in Cartersville, Georgia, for over 20 years. Strickland also played professional golf on the Asian and South American PGA tours from 1991 to 1995. He still competes, and most recently won the 2019 Yamaha Georgia Senior Open.
