Idaho club announces pair of agronomic promotions

Shore Lodge Whitetail has announced the promotion of two integral staff members of its celebrated Whitetail Club Golf Course. The management appointments of Adam Lott to golf course superintendent and Nick Korthals to assistant golf course superintendent will further bring the private course to new heights as they deliver an elevated commitment to the guest experience and turf quality. The appointments come on the heels of Whitetail Club’s recent unveiling of The Fairways at Whitetail Club, its first-ever multi-acre golf course townhome neighborhood with sweeping mountain views.

Formerly assistant superintendent of Whitetail Club since 2013, Lott has been promoted to superintendent. A graduate of Munudus Institute of Golf Course Management in Arizona, Lott honed his skills at Jug Mountain Ranch Golf Course (Idaho), Henderson Country Club (Kentucky) and McCall Golf Club (Idaho) before arriving at Whitetail Club Golf Course. In his new role, he will oversee all maintenance operations of Whitetail Club’s renowned course. 

Formerly golf course foreman of Whitetail Club since 2015, Korthals has been newly promoted to the management team as assistant golf course superintendent. Prior to foreman, Korthals served as senior greenskeeper and environmental technician at the premier real estate property. While working at Whitetail Club, Korthals received his professional certificate in turfgrass management from Rutgers University and completed a management training program with the company. 

A gem in the rugged Idaho Mountains, Whitetail Club’s award-winning golf course, designed by Roger Packard and two-time U.S. Open winner Andy North, offers an upscale wilderness retreat for golfers of all levels. The scenic 18-hole, par-72 course comprises 7,200 yards and serves as an important link in the Idaho Golf Trail.
