Turfco has introduced its T5000 Riding Applicator to the golf course maintenance industry.
The T500 helps superintendents efficiently maintain fairways, green surrounds, tee boxes, clubhouses, driving ranges and bunkers. The applicator is easy to use along a fence line, around trees or tackling spot spraying of weeds.
"The T5000 is the easiest of the spread/spray riding applicators to operate and is great for handling hills and challenging terrain without tearing turf," Turfco executive vice president Scott Kinkead said. "It really can be used so many places on a course. It can handle the areas that larger sprayers and granular spreaders can’t easily handle while improving productivity over push spreading and mixing up a small tank. We have several superintendents who utilize them and continually discover new tasks they can accomplish.”
The 5000’s two-nozzle boomless spray system delivers spray width from 5 to 13 feet, allowing operators to easily maneuver around obstacles without slowing down. With the optional T-Flex15 tank, the T5000 can cover up to 300,000 square feet per fill. Pivoting front axle and unique steering wheel design offers more control on uneven ground and hills, eliminates turf tears and helps match up each pass.
Additional T5000 features:
- 60-gallon sprayer capacity and a 325-pound spreader capacity
- Powerful 23-horsepower engine and a top speed of seven miles per hour
- Steering designed for hill stability and accurate pass matching
- Intuitive, easy-to-operate controls
- "Hard Trim" feature to prevent off-target prills near greens and bunkers
- Versatility for various tasks, including matching spread and spray, 4-foot trim, full spray, and hand-wand application
- Optional T-Flex15 tank for spraying two chemicals independently or simultaneously
The T5000 and its fellow T3200 model are available through authorized Turfco.
