Troon announced it has been selected to manage Raintree Country Club, a private facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will manage golf and club operations, food & beverage, golf course agronomy, and membership marketing.

Raintree Country Club features 36 holes of golf, including the 6,600-yard North Course and the 7,000-yard South Course. Both courses were designed by architect Russell Breeden and opened for play in 1971. The North Course, which winds through the hills and tall trees, hosted the Symetra Classic for five years from 2012-16. The South Course is beautifully landscaped with water coming into play on more than half the holes. An elevated tee shot on the South’s par-4 10th hole features views of the Charlotte skyline in the fall and winter months.

“Troon is an industry leader in the management of private clubs and that really stood out in the competitive search process,” Raintree Country Club President Jay Herring said. “We are excited to partner with Troon to support Raintree in continuing to enhance the member experience and implement our long-term strategy for the future.”

“Our Troon Privé team is excited to partner with the members of Raintree Country Club,” Troon director of operations Dana Schultz said. “Charlotte is a competitive private club market. We are focused on elevating the member experience and the club’s facilities, while also leading the strategic planning for sustained growth and success.”
