Textron Specialized Vehicles has announced the launch of its Hauler 800 ELiTE electric utility vehicle, powered by Samsung SDI lithium technology. Capitalizing on the proven technology of E-Z-GO ELiTE vehicles, launched in 2017, the Hauler 800 ELiTE offers zero-maintenance batteries with increased range and energy efficiency.
“The proven success of our innovative ELiTE series enables us to expand lithium technology into the utility segment of our products,” said Michael Parkhurst, vice president, Golf & Turf North America for Textron Specialized Vehicles, which designs and manufactures Cushman vehicles. “Superintendents have been asking for lithium vehicles to help maintain their facilities, and the new Hauler 800 ELiTE series will deliver the performance, energy and cost savings required to make their operations more efficient.”
The Hauler 800 ELiTE series maximizes space and functionality, with an ergonomic dash offering plenty of storage for clipboards, radios, and other tools, and a flexible bed that can be customized to securely carry the equipment and materials needed for the task at hand. Backed by a 5-year battery warranty and offering up to 900 pounds of towing capacity and faster recharge times, Hauler 800 ELiTE vehicles have the reliability and performance needed by superintendents.
Hauler 800 ELiTE vehicles are equipped with zero-maintenance lithium batteries that don’t require watering, terminal post checkups or cleaning like traditional lead-acid batteries. This means that Hauler 800 ELiTE vehicles will spend less time in the shop for maintenance, and more time working.
ELiTE vehicles also charge in half the time and require less out-of-the-wall power than lead-acid batteries. ELiTE vehicles can “opportunity-charge” between tasks, and with batteries half the size and a fraction of the weight of lead-acid batteries, the Hauler 800 ELiTE series reduces turf damage and soil compaction.
The ELiTE Series also includes the following E-Z-GO models: RXV ELiTE, Freedom RXV ELiTE, Freedom RXV 2+2 ELiTE, TXT ELiTE, Freedom TXT ELiTE and Freedom TXT 2+2 ELiTE.
