Troon has been selected to manage the golf operations at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, Texas, about 30 minutes outside San Antonio. Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee division of Troon, will oversee golf course agronomy, golf-related sales and marketing.

Owned by L&R Hotels and operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort was established in 1981 and represented the first golf resort and conference destination in Texas. Among other amenities, the resort features an 18-hole championship golf course originally designed by Bill Johnston and redesigned by Tripp Davis in 2013.

Consistently ranked among the top courses in Texas, Tapatio Springs meanders through rolling hills and towering live oaks of the 220-acre property, playing to a par of 72 and measuring 6,500 yards from the back tees. Additional golf amenities include a 47,000-square-foot clubhouse, a driving range, and practice putting and chipping greens. The course is open year-round to resort guests and public play.

“Troon is very excited to partner with HEI Hotels & Resorts and L+R Hotels at this premier golf resort in the Texas Hill Country,” Troon COO Mike Ryan said. “Tapatio Springs joins our portfolio of highly sought after U.S. and Texas club destinations and is ideal for golf enthusiasts seeing authentic Texas golf experiences.”
