Substrata has introduced Perma-Zyme for golf courses seeking a cost-effective, environmentally friendly and durable pond repair and construction solution.
A non-toxic, 100 percent natural soil stabilizer, Perma-Zyme is one of five flagship products specializing in enzyme-based soil treatment offered by Henderson, Nevada-based Substrata. Perma-Zyme permanently bonds clay particles together to create a concrete-like surface that lasts over 10 years. It can also be used to create substantial bases for foundation construction from clay-based soils that would otherwise require extensive measures for construction.
Perma-Zyme’s permentation process increases the strength of soil as the product interacts with clay particles, creating a reaction that develops into a permanent, concrete-like surface. Clay and soil complement each other to quickly and naturally bond together to render once unusable clay-filled soil ready for construction. Along with increasing native soil strength, Perma-Zyme is compatible with a variety of soils and requires no special equipment to use. The application process involves spraying onto the soil, mix and compact. Perma-Zyme is made with organic compounds — including 70 percent food-grade materials that can be consumed —leaving no environmental impact.
“One of the biggest challenges for golf courses is ponds, people around the world have used Perma-Zyme to line their ponds to eliminate seepage,” Substrata CEO Royal Marty says. “Perma-Zyme provides a cost effective and eco-friendly option.”
Substrata has been solving the biggest challenges in soil stabilization, soil conditioning, cleaning, odor control and petroleum-based bioremediation for over 40 years. Originally founded by inventor John Battistoni in the 1970s and branded as International Enzymes, the company’s family of enzyme-based soil treatment has expanded into five flagship products: Perma-Zyme; Petra-Zyme; Bacto-Zyme; Surfa-Zyme; and Harva-Zyme.
