Golf designer Steve Wolfard announced plans to launch a new golf course design, redesign, master planning and course assessment firm. W Golf Design will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas and will focus on projects throughout the United States and Asia. Wolfard has worked in the golf industry for the past 40 years as a designer and prior to that as a golf course superintendent. He will assist clients at all levels of the golf industry in new golf design as well as renovation and restoration of existing facilities with a focus on design strategies and golf amenities that will insure the success of each facility.
Wolfard has most recently completed over 35 projects as designer with Weibring Wolfard Golf Design. Additionally, he worked as a design associate for Jack Nicklaus and Nicklaus Golf Design for 13 years, and has also collaborated with golf greats Johnny Miller and Fred Couples and will be the new principle designer of W Golf Design. Wolfard has completed over 60 golf course projects in his distinguished design career.
