RELiON Battery has launched its new InSight 24V-Low Temperature and 48V-Low Temperature (LT) lithium batteries.
“The 24V-LT and 48V-LT lithium batteries are an excellent addition to our InSight Series line, offering all the advantages of a lithium battery with even more intelligent features built in,” said Eric Lindquist, VP and general manager, Power Systems at Navico Group. “The newest batteries in our low temperature series, the 24V-LT and 48V-LT can charge in the coldest of climates thanks to its internal heating and monitoring system, offering a seamless charging experience without any additional components.”
The InSight 24V-LT and 48V-LT are designed to meet the power and energy requirements in material handling, freezer equipment, utility vehicles, automated guided vehicles, solar energy systems, and remote monitor sites. They are GC2 sized drop-in replacement batteries that deliver high-quality performance, power, and precision.
Offering premium cold-weather performance, the new batteries provide a solution for those still using lead-acid batteries in low-temperature environments. RELiON’s LT models contain a heating element that uniformly heats the cells within the battery to 32 degrees Fahrenheit so that it can be charged at its full recommended current. These new batteries can safely operate at temperatures as low as negative-4 degrees Fahrenheit.
InSight Series batteries are drop-in ready and easy to install — no need to modify trays, no complicated connections, and no heavy lifting. Additionally, the new batteries are scalable, so users can provide increased power and energy as needed.
Key features of the 24V-LT and 48V-LT batteries include:
- Easy installation
- Scalable system providing increased power and energy as needed.
- Features an intelligent cooling system that prevents overheating of critical components and extends the life of the battery.
- Robust Battery Management System provides several layers of protection against things like under voltage, over voltage, over current and temperature conditions.
- CANbus connections allow batteries to communicate real-time operating statistics like the voltage, current, state of charge and state of health.
