Golf Course Industry and Envu are partnering to produce a webinar on Thursday, Oct. 31, designed to help educate golf maintenance professionals on how to protect their course’s roots.
Scheduled for noon EDT, the webinar will cover the factors influencing the development of root diseases in cool- and warm-season turfgrass and potential avenues for intervention. Attendees will leave the presentation equipped with knowledge on how to prevent, identify and treat soilborne diseases.
In addition to the live event, registrants will receive an on-demand version of the webinar. The on-demand recording will also be available on Golf Course Industry’s website and social media feeds. Registration is free.
Envu Green Solutions team specialists Dr. Jesse Benelli and Dr. James Hempfling will lead the discussion.
Benelli, who is based in Greenville, South Carolina, covers the Southeast region for Envu. He is a Penn State graduate and received his master’s and doctorate from Tennessee. Benelli served as the director of turfgrass pathology for the Chicago District Golf Association before joining Envu.
Hempfling covers the Northern region for Envu. Before becoming a Green Solutions Team specialist for the company, he worked as a solution development manager for turf and ornamental disease at Envu. Hempfling studied turfgrass management at Oklahoma State and earned his master’s and doctorate at Rutgers.
