Profile Products names Jim Tanner president and CEO

Tanner replaces outgoing CEO John Schoch Jr.


Profile Products has appointed Jim Tanner as president and CEO effective Jan. 1, 2018. Tanner will be taking over for outgoing CEO John A. Schoch Jr. Schoch will transition into an executive chairman role and will remain active in manufacturing operations alongside Tanner.
 
Tanner has over 20 years of industry experience and has been an integral part in growing the value of the Profile brand and business. As a leader within Profile, Tanner has been instrumental on the board and will continue to work closely with them in the future. 

During his tenure, Tanner has held multiple executive sales and marketing positions. Most recently, he served as president and chief operating officer. He’s played an essential role with new product and strategic partnership development, acquisitions and managing industry relationships. His responsibilities have included strategic planning, new business growth and leadership of the company’s sales and marketing, customer service and logistics teams.

Jim and his team will most certainly lead us to new heights.”

Tanner’s career has also included the executive vice president position at Conwed Plastics, and various sales marketing roles at Kraft General Foods and Milliken & Company. He holds eight U.S. patents and one Canadian patent. Additionally, he is a past board member of the Sorptive Minerals Institute, a member of the International Erosion Control Association and the Sports Turf Managers Association, and a VISTAGE International member. He received a bachelor’s degree in business from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
