PondHawk by LINNE Industries is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first installation of its first system along the “green monster” at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Virginia.
The Federal Club managing partner Anne Gail and superintendent Ryn Holbrook have played key roles in the club’s achievements and environmental initiatives. To honor their commitment, PondHawk is celebrating their leadership in the use of sustainable practices during a 10-year anniversary event on June 26.
“Over the years, the club has implemented numerous green initiatives, from daily moisture readings for water usage management to native areas that require very little inputs and promote wildlife habitats,” Holbrook said. “When combined with our other water management practices, PondHawk has made The Federal Club stand out as a leader in sustainable BMPs.”
The focus of the celebration will be The Federal Club’s commitment to environmental sustainability.
“The ‘green monster’ is a perfect example of what PondHawk can accomplish when installed in even your most difficult water feature.” LINNE President and CEO Sandra Burton said. “We thank Anne Gail Jennings, Ryan Holbrook and others for their willingness to try a new breakthrough technology to solve a frequent problem found on golf courses. By bringing in a small company to solve this big problem, The Federal Club demonstrated their commitment to being an environmental leader. This collaboration shows how we can promote sustainable practices in the golf industry.”
Since 2014, PondHawk has been tending to pond problems on golf courses throughout North America. As part of a sustainable water management program, PondHawk improves water quality, adds dissolved oxygen and circulation, and reduces odors without electric power costs.
