
Performance Nutrition has announced the hiring of Ed Brockman as territory sales manager for Turf & Ornamental Products, based in the Midwest region.
“As a distributor, what attracted me to doing business with Performance Nutrition was that I thought their products were of the highest quality that I could find in the marketplace,” Brockman said. “That is the same attraction I had when deciding to come work for Performance Nutrition because now I feel like I am representing the highest quality products in the marketplace.”
“Ed Brockman brings a wealth of experience and a deep personal knowledge of the turfgrass industry in the Midwest,” said Don Pucillo, president of the company. “We are thrilled to have him join the Performance Nutrition family.”
Brockman, a U.S. Navy veteran of Desert Storm and a graduate of the University of Louisville, began his career in turf and ornamental in 1995 as an assistant golf course superintendent in Louisville, later working in distribution, sales and manufacturing.
“I’ve worked this territory before so I’m familiar with most of the customers I’ll have,” Brockman said. “I am most looking forward to rekindling old relationships and making new relationships throughout this territory.”
Brockman has more than 20 years of experience in the turf and ornamental industry and was the 2008 president of the Kentucky Turfgrass Council. He comes to Performance Nutrition most recently from Sigma Organics where he worked as a distributor of turfgrass products and distributed the Performance Nutrition line.
