Troon has been selected to manage Oldfield, a private, member-owned community in Okatie, South Carolina. Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will manage golf operations and agronomy, among other parts of the club.
Located along the banks of the Okatie River, Oldfield is an Audubon International Certified Sustainable Community and includes an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed golf course.
“We feel privileged to be entrusted by both boards at Oldfield — club and community association — as they seek to further elevate the quality of the lifestyle experience for all residents and members,” Troon operations VP Joe Langford said. “Our team is thrilled to get started at Oldfield and will look to further elevate the club and community in terms of service, food and beverage offerings, experience, and more.”
“Troon Privé has extensive experience in managing premium private clubs and communities similar to Oldfield,” Oldfield club president Mark Rovnak said. “This expertise and leadership will be critical as we navigate the changing landscape for the private, lifestyle communities while remaining true to the essence of Oldfield that initially drew us here and that we all cherish.”
As a Troon Privé-managed club, equity golf members of Oldfield can enjoy the Troon Privé Privileges program, which delivers extraordinary golf and lifestyle benefits as well as reciprocal play at other Troon Privé-managed private clubs around the world.
