Nufarm announced the EPA registration of Allstar Herbicide, a new fast-acting herbicide for use on cool-season turfgrasses developed to control grassy weeds, nutsedge and broadleaf weeds like spurge, clover, dollarweed, ground ivy, oxalis, wild violet and Virginia buttonweed. Allstar will be included in this year’s Nufarm Edge Rewards Program, with availability and state registrations anticipated through the fall 2024 for use on residential and commercial lawns, sports turf, and golf course fairways and roughs.
Allstar features a unique combination of four active ingredients – 2, 4-D, quinclorac, sulfentrazone and triclopyr – to provide turfgrass professionals with a quick and effective tool to control an extensive spectrum of difficult-to-control weeds throughout the summer season.
The herbicide is labeled for many cool-season lawns with tall and fine fescues, annual and perennial ryegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, annual bluegrass, rough bluegrass, and bentgrass, as well as warm-season turfgrass, specifically hybrid and common Bermudagrass and zoysiagrass.
