AQUA-AID Solutions announced the hiring of Matt Martin as the director of research and product development. The newly created position will allow AQUA-AID Solutions to continue to develop proven solutions the industry trusts.
Martin joins AQUA-AID Solutions from NC State University, where he retired as a faculty member in the crop and soil science department serving as an extension specialist for the past 30 years. Martin received his master’s degree from NC State in agronomy. He and his wife Mary have two children, Emma and Josh.
“This is an exciting opportunity to take the next step,” Martin said. “After working with NC State University extension and research programs, I am thrilled to join a company dedicated to research-based technology and development. I am grateful for the unique opportunity to work with the AQUA-AID Solutions team.”
AQUA-AID Solutions President Sam Green added: “Having known and worked together with Matt for 20 years, we are thrilled to have him join our team. He brings a unique background in extension work that has allowed him to work extensively with different turfgrass species and a plethora of chemistries within the turfgrass market. Matt’s level of expertise and university background will help us further educate our distribution partners and end users around the globe on our existing product lines along with new products and technologies we are currently testing and evaluating. Our goal is to always present our end users with factual and peer reviewed research that is based on comprehensive testing. Matt will allow us to enhance our research and development, allowing us to continue delivering unique solutions to the world market.”
