The Links at Perry Cabin names superintendent

James Bolinger will oversee the maintenance of new Pete Dye-designed Maryland course.


James Bolinger has been named golf course superintendent for Links at Perry Cabin, a new Pete Dye design being created on Maryland’s eastern shore.
   
David Rattner, project manager, announced the addition on Bolinger, who has more than 25 years of experience in golf course development and management.

Prior to joining Links at Perry Cabin, Bolinger was golf course manager at Old Quarry Golf Course, Curacao, Netherland Antilles, responsible for the construction, grow-in and maintenance of a new 18-hole Pete Dye design golf course. Also on the island of Curacao, he was landscape manager at Santa Barbara Beach and Golf Resort, and Santa Barbara Plantation, overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Previous positions include golf development and management work at Praia do Forte Golf Club, Bahia, Brazil; in Ohio North Star Golf Course, Heritage Golf Course, Urbana Country Club; Ruffled Feathers Golf Course, Lemont, Ill.; Kearney Hills Golf Course,  Lexington, Ky.; and Montour Heights Country Club in Pennsylvania.

Bolinger graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in golf course turf management.
