KemperSports and Touchstone Golf announced they will be joining forces. Touchstone Golf will operate as a division within KemperSports.
“We have long admired the team at Touchstone Golf for their culture and shared passion for delivering exceptional service and experiences to their members and guests,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said. “They have built an amazing company by doing things the right way, putting their clients and guests first. They have some of the best people in the business with some great properties, and we are very excited to have them join our team.”
Founded in 2006 and based in Austin, Texas, with a regional office in the California Bay Area, Touchstone Golf is a firm specializing in third-party management services and advisory services for daily fee courses. Their portfolio includes more than 40 golf properties in Arizona, California, Colorado, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
“This is an exciting day for all of us at Touchstone Golf,” Touchstone Golf CEO Steve Harker said. “Under KemperSports’ leadership and with our shared resources and aligned cultures, we believe this partnership will bring great advantages to both companies in the future.”
Touchstone president Mark Luthman will be named executive vice president of KemperSports and be responsible for the transition and a growing portfolio of daily fee clubs. Harker will serve as a consultant during the transition.
"I am excited to be rejoining the KemperSports team,” Luthman said. “They are an outstanding organization, and I am proud to see our firms unite through this partnership. The future is bright for our combined company, the golf course owners we serve and the talented leaders and individuals who make up our teams."
