Did you know that, according to the McKinsey Global Institute, productivity improves by 20 to 25 percent in organizations with connected employees?
Throughout my 30-plus years in the golf and industrial engineering fields, I have had some amazing opportunities to help people and businesses achieve high levels of success. My philosophy is centered around the fact that success is built and achieved from the bottom up by connecting everyone on the team to common goals. People are our foundation, and having happy connected people leads to increased productivity and business success. That’s why organizations should invest in their people and, fundamentally, that’s what we want to help you do.
Research shows that at least half of a golf course’s budget is allocated to people. Therefore, it makes perfect sense that you should spend time enriching that asset.
Grow better people and better culture within your business so that your valuable assets flourish.
Giving employees a voice goes a long way towards increasing their feeling of ownership in their roles with a company. Our initial step involves employee surveys and meetings. This gives us the opportunity to get to know the team and tailor a program for the unique needs and goals of each company.
Croda Consulting was born from two of my greatest passions: people and golf. Our mission is to create opportunities for individual, business, and societal growth through leadership development by utilizing the values and principles of golf. We can work anywhere, with any size business or group, from individuals to large teams, and help them reach their potential.
Our beginning workshop blends mental and physical activities, from thought based sessions to actual golf game play, that use the fundamentals of golf and golf etiquette as a means to learn and practice understanding our role in life and work, teamwork, improved customer service, trustworthiness, and creating a goal driven mindset.
Coaching and training seminars focus on a variety of areas from leadership development, to talent identification, to team building, to customer service. Our team-building plans center on fun, golf-centered training activities to help meet goals and objectives.
Just a few of the expected outcomes of team building are: empowered, loyal, and motivated employees; learning to utilize the strengths of team members; creating goal-driven mindsets; encouraging positive feedback and involvement; learning how to understand and value multiculturalism in the workplace; and reducing turnover.
A recent Gallup poll indicated that employees who exercise their strengths on a daily basis are almost 10 percent more productive and six times more likely to be engaged with their job! Team building is a huge factor in identifying the strengths of our people and using that knowledge to increase employee engagement.
One of our favorite activities for team building are informal golf scrambles. These are a great way to build a sense of team while learning golf! Employees have to practice communicating, trusting, and planning with each other in order to succeed. Natural leadership traits are evident in these situations and it is a great opportunity for you to recognize leadership abilities that could be hiding in your organization.
We also assist businesses with strategic planning. All successful ventures begin with solid plans. Short- and long-term strategic planning involves developing and or assessing the mission and vision of the company. Our program then uses that mission and vision to guide goal development. We also examine staffing and identify talent and areas of strength within employees. Strong planning also involves valuing creativity and innovation. We are experts at creativity and innovation!
Croda Consulting is all about shaping the way you live and work through the values of the game of golf. I am proud of the mission and work we are doing and I’d be happy to share our ideas with you.
