John Deere has introduced two new electric-powered offerings, expanding its commitment to sustainability and high-performance equipment. The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower and Gator GS Electric with lithium-ion battery option, debuted at the 2025 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show, representing the latest electrification advancements by John Deere.
The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower has entered the market, building upon the John Deere PrecisionCut and E-Cut Hybrid Triplex Mowers. This fully electric mower offers a hydraulic-free solution that eliminates the risk of hydraulic leaks while maintaining performance and precision. In addition, John Deere is expanding its popular Gator GS Electric lineup with a high-performance lithium-ion battery option, offering an even more powerful and maintenance-friendly solution for customers who prefer an electrified solution on the golf course.
“At John Deere, we understand the growing need for sustainable, efficient equipment in the golf and sports turf industries,” global manager for market development and strategy Kim Ehasz said. “These new electric-powered options are designed to help golf course superintendents and turf managers reduce their carbon footprint, lower operational costs and enhance their productivity—all while maintaining the precision and reliability John Deere is known for.”
2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower
Rounding out the John Deere riding greens mower lineup, the 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower is a fully electric model designed for greens, tees, fairways, approaches and surrounds. Powered by a 4-battery, 58-volt, 14.24 kwh MAX power pack, the mower delivers electric power to the traction, steering, lift/lower and mow circuits. The 1200-watt offboard charger recharges the batteries in 12 hours or less, allowing operators to mow more than 22 greens on a single charge.
The industry-exclusive Whisper Link lift/lower system operates silently, using a flexible link design powered by integrated smart motors. This system offers control over lift and lower rates, as well as timing, while providing the same contour-following performance as John Deere’s 2700/2750 Triplex Mowers.
The 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower also integrates with the John Deere Modular Telematics Gateway solutions and is fully connected to the John Deere Operations Center PRO Golf software package, enabling golf course superintendents to access advanced data and real-time insights into mower performance. The mower is compatible with a wide range of existing 2700/2750 Triplex Mower attachments, including Quick-Adjust 5 cutting units, LED light kits, grass catchers, and more, making it easy and cost-effective for customers to transition to electric-powered equipment without sacrificing precision and performance.
Gator GS Electric with Lithium-Ion Battery
The Gator GS Electric lineup now offers a new lithium-ion battery option, providing a high-performance, low-maintenance solution for customers who require an electrified vehicle. This upgraded battery delivers longer runtime, reduced weight and delivers reliable performance at any charge level, making it ideal for tackling any task on the course. Unlike traditional lead-acid batteries, the Lithium-Ion option significantly reduces maintenance needs, lowers operating costs and ensures more uptime.
The John Deere Gator GS Electric with Lithium-Ion battery option is now available for order, while the John Deere 2775 E-Cut Electric Triplex Mower will be available for order in the U.S. and Canada starting Aug. 15, 2025.
