Mid-America Golf and Landscape announced the appointment of Dr. Jason Lewis as its new COO of golf and specialty projects.
Lewis started with the company in 1994 and spent the early part of his tenure as an assistant superintendent. He ascended to irrigation specialist and then project manager. After a period raising his family in Texas and earning his PhD in organizational management, he returned to Mid-America, bringing a renewed energy and passion for golf course construction. In his new role, Lewis will lead special initiatives and provide essential support to the sports division.
"With our new key personnel and an outstanding labor force, we look to ensure our core values are rooted in every project,” Mid-America owner and President Kirk Grego said. “Just as a tree, with our values working underground, we will be able to provide a beautiful, blossoming result to the owner."
Alongside Lewis, Grego will continue to play an active role in the company's operations, leveraging his lifelong experience in golf course construction and renovation. As a devoted member of the GCBAA, Grego’s commitment to overseeing job performance, staffing and project communications remains unwavering.
The addition of Casey Hames, an adept professional in business development and assistant project management, will also bolster the Mid-America team. Hames will work closely with Lewis to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
