Heritage Golf Group recently acquired Old Hickory Golf Club, a private club located in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
The 18-hole, PB Dye-designed golf course opened in 2002. The club is located in a park-like setting and features one of the area’s larger practice facility footprints. It is also developing a million-dollar-plus investment plan to update the golf course, the 15-acre practice facility and select clubhouse areas.
“We are pleased to have been selected by the Old Hickory ownership group to be the next owner and operator of this vibrant private country club, which aligns well with our two other private country clubs in the St. Louis area — WingHaven Country Club and The Legends Country Club,” Heritage Golf Group chief revenue officer Andy Miller.
“Heritage has consistently and successfully invested in resources and talent to elevate the members’ private club experience at the clubs in their collection,” said Gary Hill, managing partner of the selling group. “We are pleased for them to be the next steward of Old Hickory.”
Since purchasing Heritage Golf Group in January 2020, the current ownership and leadership team has grown the company to include 34 clubs across the United States. With its home office in northern Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., Heritage clubs are located in Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Wisconsin. The company has acquired a mix of private country clubs in residential communities, member-owned clubs with growth potential seeking strategic alternatives, and premium daily-fee and resort golf properties in major resort destinations and metropolitan markets.
