As of Jan. 1, central Florida-based Harrell’s has increased its western footprint with the acquisition of Golf Enviro Systems in Colorado Springs, Colo. Golf Enviro Systems is a full-line distributor of soil, turf, greenhouse and landscape maintenance products servicing the professional markets in Colorado, New Mexico and southern Wyoming. The deal will make a variety of granular fertilizers, liquid foliar nutritionals, soil wetting agents and plant protects available to customers in the region.

“The Golf Enviro team is a great asset to Harrell’s,” said Nick Spardy, Harrell’s vice president of West sales and marketing. “We are looking forward to serving turf managers and growers in this region of the country,”

The acquisition also brings a trio of seasoned territory managers onto the Harrell’s sales force, which has swelled to more than 120 in the golf, ornamental, sports turf, turf & landscape and specialty agriculture markets. Gary Schinderle, Ben Boehme and Robert Gonzales will continue to serve Golf Enviro customers in the area. The team will be rounded out by territory manager Chris Freeman, who joined the Harrell’s team in late 2018, regional sales director JJ Jansen and Spardy.

“We couldn’t be more proud and excited to bring Harrell’s quality products, innovative technologies and exceptional service to our customers,” said Schinderle, a former Golf Enviro partner.
James Penny and Daniel Lewis will continue to manage operations and distribution out of the warehouse in Colorado Springs.
