Grey Oaks Country Club is working with golf course architect Andrew Green to renovate its Pine Course.
The Pine Course has been a foundational feature of Grey Oaks for 30 years. As every golf course has a life span, Grey Oaks identified the need to renovate the Pine Course to add tees, improve bunkers, widen fairways, and create larger greens — all to help improve the aesthetics of the course, assist with course maintenance, and elevate the overall golf experience for its membership.
After a comprehensive review process in 2019, Grey Oaks picked Green to lead the Pine Course renovation. His recent work includes the restoration of Oak Hill Country Club’s East Course, which recently hosted the 2023 PGA Championship.
Green has been onsite at Grey Oaks overseeing the course renovation, which started in February and is expected to end in July. The course is expected to reopen for play after the grow-in period from August to November.
The renovation is adding several new features with options for enhancing strategic play and course character.
Grey Oaks completed enhancements to its short game area, also designed by Green, in 2022. That project was designed to provide more practice simulation for shot-making, instruction and simultaneous practice use, including Inrange technology.
