The Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) has launched an enhanced, free, online job board at http://www.gcsaa.org/jobs/jobs.aspx to aid its members and golf facilities in the employment process.
Free job posting for all facilities and employers, a benefit valued at $300, is one of the new and improved features of the GCSAA Job Board that also include:
- Job search by category and GCSAA region
- Additional advanced job search options (state/province, facility type)
- Job summaries in job search results that link to more details
- Job alert e-mails based on search criteria
- Ability to post résumé
- Résumé search by category and GCSAA region
- Additional features implemented in March 2011
"The GCSAA Job Board now makes job searching faster and easier for GCSAA members, while making job posting more valuable, yet free, for employers," said GCSAA President James R. Fitzroy, CGCS. "We based these changes, as well as additional enhancements still to come, on feedback from our members and made these improvements on their behalf."
Résumé posting and viewing the expanded details of job listings are only available to GCSAA members. GCSAA verifies all Class A and superintendent member job vacancies, and also offers free résumé critiquing services for its members. The jobs section of GCSAA.org is one of the most popular areas of the website. And according to a survey of employers, GCSAA's job board is used more than any other service in the industry to post their employment openings, as more than 90 percent reported using GCSAA.org to post their open positions.
