Fairway Advisors announces the listing of Old York Country Club at Chesterfield in Chesterfield, New Jersey. The highly regarded Philadelphia area country club is now officially on the market.
Ed and Corinne Eget founded Old York in 1993. Corinne Eget, Owner of Old York comments, “Looking back over the last 19 years, Old York has been an integral part of my life and my family. Since Ed’s passing in 2010 I have remained focused on fulfilling his legacy and dream while trying to analyze my life’s priorities. At this stage of my life, and without Ed, the physical and emotional commitment required to own the Club is simply no longer feasible.”
Jeff Davis, President of Fairway Advisors, comments, "Old York is a successful club with significant revenues and positive cash flow. Recent capital improvements will allow a new owner to acquire a turnkey property with significant upside potential. The addition of a new mixed grill will allow members a separate casual dining outlet while utilizing the clubhouse for further expansion of its banquet and wedding business segments.”
Old York is a private non-equity club. Gary Player designed the 18-hole golf course in 1993. “Old York is situated on 177 acres in affluent Burlington County. Its clubhouse, locker room and banquet facilities are over 27,500 square feet. This is a unique opportunity to acquire a well-located, positive cash flow facility for substantially less than replacement cost. We expect to complete the sale of this asset in short order due to the unique combination of these factors, ” says Davis.
