Agronomic Advisors and Tyler Bloom Consulting are launching a Future Leaders Academy tailored to meet the training needs of assistant superintendents, assistants-in-training and other aspiring industry leaders. The first event is Thursday, Jan. 23, at Fox Chapel Golf Club in suburban Pittsburgh.
Developed by Jeff Corcoran and Dave Delsandro of Agronomic Advisors and Tyler Bloom of Tyler Bloom Consulting, and sponsored by AQUA-AID Solutions, the academy is designed to provide guidance and networking for secondary management-level roles in the turf industry. The curriculum was developed by industry leaders from various sectors of the turfgrass market through their lived experiences, diverse industry assessments obtained in real-time, and comprehensive network to direct and indirect business influencers within and adjacent to the industry.
Corcoran, Delsandro, Bloom and AQUA-AID Solutions director of marketing Bill Brown will lead training sessions and discussions. Topics include how to succeed in your current role, developing culture, leadership and preparing for your next job.
Corcoran and Delsandro are former golf course superintendents at Oak Hill Country Club and Oakmont Country Club, respectively, who launched Agronomic Advisors in late 2023; Bloom is a former superintendent who launched Tyler Bloom Consulting in 2020; and Brown is a former superintendent who joined AQUA-AID Solutions in 2017. They bring decades of industry leadership training experience and vast professional networks to the academy.
Registration deadline is Jan. 17. Cost is $300 and includes breakfast and lunch.
A second Future Leaders Academy is scheduled for Feb. 27 at Canterbury Golf Club in suburban Cleveland.
