Troon has been selected to manage Coyote Ridge Golf Club, an 18-hole semi-private club in Carrollton, Texas, just north of Dallas. Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee club operations division of Troon, will manage the golf, agronomy, restaurant and club operations.
A George Williams design, Coyote Ridge Golf Club opened in 1999. The Sam Moon Group purchased and renovated the golf course in 2005, with course enhancements including bunker renovations, the addition of more than 1,000 trees and new tee boxes, which helped add length. The front nine is an open links-style routing with water coming into play on six holes, while the back nine plays within the confines of a former Trinity River gravel quarry. The lavishly landscaped course features natural grasses, blooming seasonal flowers and hundreds of oaks, pecans and elms.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Troon to continue fulfilling our vision for Coyote Ridge,” club owner Sam Moon said. “Troon is the proven leader in club management and the ideal organization to elevate our premier experience to even greater heights.”
“Coyote Ridge Golf Club is a stunning property,” Troon Golf division President Mitch Harrell said. “The golf course and clubhouse are both outstanding. Our team is looking forward to working with the Sam Moon Group and the onsite team to further elevate operations, food and beverage, agronomy and the overall guest experience.”
