Concert Golf Partners has acquired The Georgia Club from Pan Pacific Fairway V, the owner of the surrounding community.
Located near the University of Georgia and about an hour from Atlanta, set amongst the rolling hills of Northeast Georgia, The Georgia Club is known for its traditional southern architecture, where members “Experience Athens Golf at Its Finest.”
Based near Orlando, Concert Golf Partners is a hospitality company that invests its capital to fund projects and build new amenities. Concert offers coordinated expansion efforts, relieving owners and board members of the stress and financial burden of day-to-day management of a club.
The acquisition of The Georgia Club is another step forward in Concert’s mission to preserve and enhance premier private country clubs nationwide.
“We’re proud to be the new owners of The Georgia Club, located in a vibrant and fast-growing community,” said Concert Golf Partners senior vice president, Jordan Peace. “The club’s owners were impressed by how we operate our premier clubs nationwide, and our commitment to continuously re-invest in each of these clubs to ensure they thrive for decades. With additional new houses planned for the community, the current owners were confident in our ability to elevate The Georgia Club and increase home values, while continuing to provide members with an excellent level of service.”
With 27 holes across nearly 350 acres designed by Denis Griffiths—known for his course architecture work throughout Georgia and overseas—The Georgia Club’s traditional 18-hole Chancellor’s Course features natural beauty year-round from tee-to-green, with majestic pine trees and breathtaking azaleas and dogwoods. This championship course carries a 130 slope.
The Georgia Club features resort-style amenities and services that promote a healthy lifestyle: a golf practice facility, pickleball, tennis, fitness, aquatics and a 35,000-sq. ft. clubhouse offering various dining options and styles, such as farm-to-table, with a community garden featuring organically grown food. The Club also hosts weddings and private parties year-round.
“The Georgia Club gets in your blood, and I can’t imagine being anywhere else,” said club member Chuck Dowdle. “The amenities are world-class. There’s no facility quite like it. It looks like a movie set. The Georgia Club is not just a club or community. It’s family. When I drive through the gate, I’m home.”
The Georgia Club is the 36th upscale private club to join the Concert portfolio, and the third in the state—joining Country Club of Roswell near Atlanta; and West Lake Country Club near Augusta. Other recent acquisitions include: Golf Club of the Everglades (Naples, Florida); TPC Jasna Polana (Princeton, New Jersey); The Club at Pasadera (Monterey, California); and both Walden on Lake Conroe Golf Club and Northgate Country Club (near Houston).
