The Carolinas GCSA Conference and Show is just days away and your trusty (and trusted?) Golf Course Industry team will be all over Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A quick FAQ preview, for easy reference:
Who are you sending? Editor-in-chief Guy Cipriano, managing editor Matt LaWell, national sales manager Russ Warner and account manager Jimmy Clark will be on site all week. If you have a question about content, sales, the year ahead, the game in general, or anything else, odds are good one of those four can provide a great answer.
Where will you be? The easiest way to track us down is to attend the trade show — 3:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, and 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday — and head to booth No. 1115. We would love to talk (and talk and talk and talk) with you there. And if you want some swag to take back to the course or your home, we’ll have Turfheads Grilling lapel pins, stickers, koozies and magazines (what else?!?!) to give away.
Yeah, but the show is eight hours across two days. Where else will you pop up the rest of the week? Right now, our itinerary includes stops at the Wednesday education session, at least three golf courses, at least four restaurants, maybe a miniature golf course (or two), and who knows where else? Matt and Guy both run every day, so the sidewalks near the coast and the beach are a good place to check. And Matt will have to bring home some random T-shirt shop gift for his 7-year-old. Pretty sure we’ll be posting live on our Twitter feed, too.
You really like Myrtle Beach, don’t you? We love Myrtle Beach, and we really love the conference and show. It’s a great opportunity for turf pros from across the Carolinas — and far beyond, evidenced by appearances last year from superintendents from Michigan, New York, Ohio, Virginia … — to gather together, share stories, recap another great year, and look ahead to the next. If you’re on the fence about attending, you should absolutely join us. And if you’re already signed up, we’ll see you there!
