Ken Mangum has accepted the position as national sales manager for BRANDT’s turf business, which includes the BRANDT, GRIGG and BRANDT iHammer product lines.
In this role, Mangum will oversee the company’s turf and ornamental territory sales managers, engage key customers and work with the senior management team to set the strategic direction for the turf team. Mangum will report to John Guglielmi, BRANDT Specialty Formulations national sales Director.
“Ken’s national and international golf course management experience is a tremendous asset,” Guglielmi said. “He will bring a lot of insight to the business as we continue to position our three turf product lines and focus on this important business segment.”
Before joining BRANDT, Mangum served as an independent golf course management and development consultant. Most recently, he was director of golf Courses and grounds at Atlanta Athletic Club. Mangum has been a certified GCSAA Golf Course Superintendent for 34 years and holds a degree in golf course operations from Lake City Community College.
His course management experience includes two 18-hole championship golf courses, a 25-acre practice facility and over 500 acres of club real estate at Atlanta Athletic Club. He also managed course tournament preparation for two PGA championships, has designed and developed a new course, served as a project manager on several restoration projects. As a consultant, he worked with many notable golf courses in the southeastern United States as well as Europe, Asia, South America and Australia.
