Billy Casper Signature has been selected to operate Regents’ Glen Country Club in York, Pa., located within an upscale residential community and featuring an extremely playable yet challenging golf course and elegant events venue.
Focused on enhancing all aspects of the club lifestyle, Billy Casper Signature recently re-opened Regents’ Glen following its acquisition by local businessman Rodney “Rod” Krebs and his family in March 2016. The club closed last October due to financial difficulties under previous ownership.
Billy Casper Signature is already injecting new programs to increase member retention and attract new members. The company oversees course and property maintenance, marketing and sales, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, special events, golf instruction and financial management for Regents’ Glen.
“Billy Casper Signature is the obvious choice for our club to flourish,” Krebs said. “Embedding our brand in the community as a trusted place where memories are created for members, guests and residents is job No. 1.”
“Here’s to returning Regents’ Glen to its past glory as a top-tier private golf, social and special events haven,” said Frank Denniston, senior vice president of Billy Casper Signature. “All the foundational bones are in place to entertain golfers, families and friends for the current generation and beyond.”
Upon news of Billy Casper Signature assuming management of the club, members prior to the club closing have reengaged their memberships.
Krebs plans to add single-family homes, townhouses and villas to Regents’ Glen, which is already known as one of the premier housing developments in York. The new club owner’s construction company built several developments in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Virginia. The family company, Springfield Contractors, conducted site work at Regents’ Glen around its opening in 1997, and his family members are York-area natives who own a diversified business portfolio.
