Troon acquires Green Golf Partners

Indianapolis-based firm manages 18 public and private courses.

Troon announced it has acquired Green Golf Partners, an Indianapolis, Indiana-based golf course management firm.

Green Golf Partners currently manages 18 public and private golf courses located across five states, including Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Wisconsin. Green Golf Partners was founded in 2011 and has more than 100 years of combined experience in the golf and hospitality industries.

“We are thrilled to bring Green Golf Partners into the Troon family,” Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz said. “Matt McIntee and his team have created a solid portfolio of courses in the Midwest and Florida. The addition of Green Golf Partners, combined with Troon’s existing portfolio in the Midwest, will serve as the catalyst to opening a new Troon office in Chicago, designed to service current and future clients throughout the region.”

Over the last 10 months, Troon has actively grown and diversified its family of brands by acquiring four companies, including Cliff Drysdale Management, the nation’s largest tennis management company, in July 2018; RealFood, a Boston-based food service consulting firm, in February 2019; OB Sports Golf Management in early April 2019; and Green Golf Partners.

"This is obviously a game changer for our company,” Green Golf Partners CEO Matt McIntee said. “I have always had the deepest respect for Troon and their entire team. Green Golf Partners was built using Troon as the model, and we are absolutely thrilled to collaborate and partner with Troon. We know that our clients and associates believe this is a match made in heaven; a blending of our expertise and personality with the most amazing and extensive portfolio of services from the top golf management company in the world. We look forward to continuing to accelerate our growth in partnership with Troon.”
