Flower Watering
The recycled 30-gallon liquid fertilizer drum is conveniently used to hand-water flowers. The drum fits nicely into the back of a Cushman Turf Vehicle and weighs less than 260 pounds when full. A 5/8th-inch diameter hole was drilled into the drum plug and a faucet was glued into it. A 10-foot garden hose was connected with a hose clamp to the faucet along with an adjustable hose shower nozzle for carefully watering the flowers. Two strong bungee cords hold the drum securely in place. As the water continues to gravity flow during the watering operation, the electric dump body is raised to continue the water flow. The additional drum plug is used to fill the drum with water. Total cost was less than $20 and it took about 15 minutes labor time. Hand Tool Storage
Jumbo Storage Hangers, Model #SKU: 2111078, were acquired from Menards for $2 each. They are screwed onto 2-inch by 8-inch boards mounted horizontally that are screwed into the wall studs. The staff cleans the tools and then returns them to these durable tool hangers, which keeps the hand tools off the floor for better organization and easier inventory management. This entire project cost less than $60 and total labor time was about two hours. Rob Fisher, superintendent at the Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club in Powell, Ohio, is again very efficient.
