Arcis Golf acquired six Mickelson Golf Properties from professional golfer and World Golf Hall of Famer Phil Mickelson and his business partner, Steve Loy. The transaction closed Monday, August 2, and Arcis Golf assumes operations on Tuesday, August 3.
The six properties include three upscale private clubs and three daily fee facilities. Arcis Golf now has 15 properties in and around Phoenix, and 66 total clubs across the country.
“These exceptional additions to our portfolio support our strategy of owning and operating preeminent properties within each of our key hub or expansion markets,” Arcis Golf founder and CEO Blake Walker said. “We're excited to bring our unique approach to delivering extraordinary experiences to members and guests at these great private and daily fee facilities.”
Mickelson said he and Loy were “thrilled to work with Arcis Golf, and we’re entrusting them to build upon the success we’ve created so far with these properties. We were very impressed with the Arcis leadership team and their commitment to their members and guests, and we look forward to continuing our business relationship.”
The clubs in the sale include The Stone Canyon Club in Oro Valley, which recently played host to The Match: Champions for Change; The Golf Club at Chaparral Pines in Payson; the Tom Weiskopf- and Jay Morrish-designed Rim Golf Club also in Payson; McDowell Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale; the Ted Robinson-designed Ocotillo Golf Club in Chandler; and Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, which was originally designed by Arthur Hills.
