Blu Petroleum pledges to the Wee One Foundation’s One for the Wee One Endowment. Steve Poole, CEO of Blu Petroleum, recently announced his company’s support of the One for the Wee One Endowment campaign to raise $10 million in 10 years by pledging their portion of the profits from fuel sold to golf courses and clubs. This commitment helps Blu Petroleum to achieve one of its core values of giving back to the community. Blu Petroleum is the first company to support the Wee One Endowment Fund.
With over 25 years in the fuel industry, Poole desires to give back to the industry that supports him. “The Wee One Foundation offers us a very easy and simple way of helping those in the turf industry that need it. The Foundation stands for the same principles as Blu Petroleum and its endowment campaign is one method for us to give back."
Established by Poole in 2011, Blu Petroleum is a full-service provider of petroleum products. "As the company grows," Poole explains, "we look forward to enjoying a loyal, stable customer base, forged by commitment to building customer trust through superior service and close personal relationships. Contributing to the One for the Wee One campaign was an easy decision to make."
The One for the Wee One Endowment program will allow the Foundation to carry out its mission: Help golf course management professionals and their dependents that are having trouble paying medical bills due to the lack of comprehensive insurance or adequate financial resources.
The goal of the endowment campaign is to raise $10 million in 10 years to help support families in need, forever. The One Percent Endowment Fund will provide a permanent source of supplemental funding for the Wee One mission and new endeavors to benefit individuals and families in the golf course industry. One-hundred percent of funds generated through this campaign will be placed in a permanent endowment fund.
Established in 2004, the Wee One Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit entity dedicated to helping those in need in the golf course industry.
